Progressive Blog: Thankful Inspiration

It’s time for another progressive blog post from the Chapel Designers.  As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday this week we decided to focus on floral designs and centerpieces inspired by the season. The warm rich hues of yellow, burgundy, plum, orange, and cinnamon brown are everywhere. Arrangements are full of branches, berries and colorful leaves all reflective of what’s happening in nature as the season changes.

It’s getting cold and things are starting to look more barren. There is such beauty in trees as the leaves change color and fall to the ground. It’s a chance to start again. They’re shedding the old leaves of last year to make way for new green growth that comes with spring. We are a little like that as people.  This time of year we all change a little bit as we reflect on the year behind us and appreciate all for which we have been blessed. We are thankful for what has been given and that which we are yet to receive.  We shed our leaves of the year and appreciate their bounty, yet focus ahead on our new leaves that will bud with the start of a new year and a new season.

I am so thankful for all the lovely ladies that joined me at yesterday’s Pretty Pumpkins Event at Mount Republican estate. Here is a great photo of the group with all of their beautiful fall centerpieces. The floral elements we used included orange ilex berries, salal leaves, agonais, coffee break roses, button mums, regular mums, safflower, tinted seeded eucalyptus, red solidago, yarrow, red sunflowers, and amaranthus.  Everyone’s pumpkins turned out so great and they were all different. I LOVE it!  I will share more pictures form the Pretty Pumpkin Event later in the week!
